Very durable and versatile backpack
The Dragon Egg Mk II is a medium-sized 25+ liter backpack designed for military operators and law enforcement personnel. It works perfectly as a lightweight patrol pack, an advanced EDC, or a solid base for a bug-out bag (BoB). The Mk II version features redesigned side pockets with elastic inserts, as well as the new Direct Action brand logo.
Compact, yet spacious
The “egg shape” construction reduces the height and width of the backpack compared to classic models of the same capacity. Thanks to this, the Dragon Egg integrates better with tactical gear – it doesn’t interfere with a belt or vest. The backpack contains three main compartments:
- Main compartment with a hydration bladder pocket and mesh divider, with a centrally placed exit port for the tube at the top edge.
- Rear compartment with a padded sleeve for a laptop (up to 15”) or a multiband radio.
- Front pocket with an organizer and mesh pocket for handy items (notebooks, GPS, markers, chemlight).
Additionally, two elastic side pockets hold a canteen or a 1-liter bottle, and the top fleece-lined pocket is designed for storing eyewear or a phone.
Adapted to your configuration
The laser-cut MOLLE/PALS system allows the backpack to be expanded with additional modules without increasing its profile. On the front, there is a daisy chain webbing, useful for attaching carabiners, gloves, tourniquets, etc. Side grab handles and a paracord top handle make carrying easier and allow emergency use of the cord (2 × 2.5 m). Quick-release shoulder straps, a detachable waist belt, and stiffened back support improve comfort of carry, even when fully loaded.
Ventilation and durability
The backpack is made of Cordura® 500D with a water-repellent coating. The Combat Vent System® (CVS®) – contoured foam with ventilation channels covered with breathable mesh – reduces sweating and improves comfort when worn in hot climates or during dynamic activities.
